Degree Programs BATC:  Bachelor of Arts in Technical Communication (watch "Why Major in Technical Communication?) MATC:  Master of Arts in Technical Communication (onsite and online) PhD-TCR:  PhD in Technical Communication and Rhetoric (onsite and online) Program Highlights Texas Tech offers the BA, MA, and PhD in technical communication. The Master of Arts in Technical Communication and the PhD in Technical Communication and Rhetoric are available as both resident and online programs. Sixteen tenure-line faculty members specialize in technical communication and rhetoric, offering expertise in a wide range of areas. An active student chapter of the Society for Technical Communication complements classroom instruction. The program is the current home of Technical Communication Quarterly (edited by Amy Koerber). Our Multiliteracy Lab provides services and technology for new media design. Our Usability Research Laboratory works with corporate clients and serves as a resource for faculty and student research. Job placement for graduates of all programs is excellent.
