English/Philosophy Building

Built in 2002, the laboratory and observation/control suite are part of the multi-million-dollar English/Philosophy/Education complex at Texas Tech University. The first usability class was taught in Spring 2003. The lab also serves students and faculty each semester for class projects and independent research.

The history of Texas Tech University dates back to the fall of 1925 when classes started with 914 students studying in disciplines like Liberal Arts, Agriculture, and Engineering. Since then the University has continuously grown with over 25000 students from all over the world pursuing studies in a variety of disciplines.

The roots of the famous 'Double T' date back to the beginnings of the Texas Tech College when the first football coaches used this symbol on the letter sweaters. It has since come to represent the men and women who have contributed to the success of Texas Tech University.

Sports have a very special place in the tradition of the University..... be it Football, Basketball, Baseball, Volleyball or Athletics. The enthusiasm is alike among the players and fans.
